AskZuri

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 October 2026

This policy explains how AskZuri ("we", "us") handles personal data. We are Blackbird Logistics (trading as AskZuri), based in Cape Town, South Africa. Contact: yusuf@blackbirdlogistics.co.za.

1. Two roles

2. What we collect

We don't use advertising cookies or tracking. The chat remembers your conversation only for the current browser tab (session storage).

3. Why we use it (lawful basis)

4. AI and automated replies

Replies are written by an AI system, not a person. The assistant says it is an AI if you ask. It doesn't make decisions about you with legal or similarly significant effects; it answers questions and passes your details to a person at the business. Don't share sensitive information (such as health details) in the chat. Give it to the business directly instead.

5. Who we share it with

We never sell personal data.

6. How long we keep it

7. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, object to how it's used, or ask for a copy. Email yusuf@blackbirdlogistics.co.za. If you contacted one of our clients, we'll pass your request to them. If you're in the UK and unhappy, you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.

8. If you're in South Africa (POPIA)

The Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) applies. In POPIA terms, the business you contacted is the responsible party and we are its operator; for our own website we are the responsible party. Our Information Officer is Yusuf, owner of Blackbird Logistics (trading as AskZuri), contactable at yusuf@blackbirdlogistics.co.za. You have the rights in section 7 above, and you can object to direct marketing at any time. If you're unhappy, you can complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.

9. If you're in the EU or elsewhere

EU visitors have the same rights under the EU GDPR and can complain to their local data protection authority. Wherever you are, you can contact us about your data at the address above.

10. Changes

We'll update this page if anything changes and show the date at the top.

This template is a starting point. Have a solicitor check it, and fill in the bracketed details, before you rely on it.
